Rules, Terms & Conditions

General rules

AFTER DARK is a private after-hours social & club-night event, for members of the furry, pup, and kink communities, as well as their invited guests. These rules are subject to change in the future, and will be final at the time of ticket purchase.

Our goal is to create a safe, welcoming, inclusive, and positive space where everyone can freely express themselves within respectful and clearly defined boundaries. “No” means no!

We are an inclusive space that welcomes people of all gender identities. We celebrate diversity and do not tolerate discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, disability, body type, neurodiversity, and other characteristics.

If you are banned from LondonFurs events (such as furmeets), that ban will automatically carry over to AFTER DARK. We also reserve the right to refuse entry or remove anyone whose behavior violates our rules or threatens the safety and inclusivity of the space.

Age Restrictions and ID Requirements

  • You must be 18 years or older to attend any AFTER DARK event. No exceptions.
  • Our venues will operate a mandatory ID policy. Be prepared to show valid photo ID upon entrance. No ID, no entry. This is non-negotiable on the door. ID requirements are managed by the venue but we can give the below guidelines:
  • Valid types of ID are:
    • Passport;
    • Driving licence;
    • National ID (with photo, date of birth, and name);
    • Any card showing the PASS logo, such as CitizenCard
  • All ID needs to be in date. Our venues often operate an ID-scanning policy as required by City of London. Physical ID is required, pictures of ID is never accepted. The final say is always with the venue.
  • By entering the venue, you acknowledge that this is a kink-positive event, where you may encounter different attire, themes, or media to what you’d except in a traditional night club setting.
  • This is a ticketed event, you must have a valid ticket to attend.
  • If you do not have a ticket registered to your legal name, then you should not attend. Anyone attempting to "ghost" or loiter outside the venue will be warned and eventually banned.
  • Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable, the sale is final to the extent permitted by law.

Conduct and Expectations

  • Drink responsibly. Know your limits and look out for each other.
  • You are to adhere to all relevant legal regulations, venue rules, and the requests of the venue staff.
  • Alcohol and food not purchased at the venue is not to be consumed at the event
  • The possession, use, or sale of illegal drugs will result in immediate ejection and possible police involvement.
  • Do not bring weapons or anything that could reasonably be mistaken for a weapon.
  • No sexual activity is allowed anywhere on the premises. AFTER DARK is a sex-positive space, not a sex venue. Sexual activity will result in an instant ejection & ban.
  • Photography and video recording are only permitted in clearly marked photo zones (such as a photo booth). Use of recording devices elsewhere will result in removal.
  • AFTER DARK reserves the right to refuse admission for any reason at any time to our events.

Dress code

  • AFTER DARK is open to everybody to express themselves however they wish, gear is encouraged but not mandatory.
  • Symbols, clothing, or insignia associated with hate groups or unconstitutional organisations are strictly banned.
  • Buttocks need to be covered to venue regulations.
  • All nipples must be covered, regardless of gender or presentation, to ensure fairness and inclusion. This does not apply if you do not have nipples. UK licensing rules make gendered distinctions we consider discriminatory, so we have decided to apply this policy for all.
  • Please note you cannot get fully naked in this changing area.
  • Diapers are only to be worn for medical purposes, for safety and hygiene reasons we request they are fully covered.
  • Footwear must be worn at all times, consider what is appropriate for the venue and nature of the event.

Cloakroom, property and gear

  • LondonFurs Management LTD / AFTERDARK are not responsible for any loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings, including gear, fursuits, or other property, while on-site. All items are left at your own risk.
  • A cloakroom provided by the venue, it is expected that bags are not kept on the venue floor but the cloakroom is utilised where possible. This cloakroom is provided free-of-charge. Please ensure you keep your ticket or you will have to wait until the very end of the night to retrieve your bag! (Pro tip: take a picture of your ticket on your phone)

Health concerns

  • There will be flashing lights and loud music. It is not safe for you to attend if there is risk of photosensitive conditions which might be triggered by flashing lights.
  • We cannot guarantee a latex‑free environment, whether through direct contact or airborne particles. If you have a latex allergy, we strongly advise that you do not attend, as your safety cannot be assured.
  • If you need urgent medical help while at the event, please let a member of venue staff know straight away. We cannot guarantee that whilst you are receiving medical treatment your gear won’t become damaged or destroyed, your safety always comes first.

Reporting antisocial or illegal behaviour at our meets

  • We will not tolerate any threats of violence or aggression at our events. If a threat has been made towards you directly in respect to our events, the first port of call should be towards the police and secondly towards us (with any relevant evidence).
  • Not everyone will get along. As much as we strive for this to happen, people will always have differing views or have negative relationships outside our events. We will not be drawn into personal drama or accusations.
  • If you feel another attendee is involved in something illegal, we would advise you to report it to the police and not to us. We are a private event, not law enforcement.
  • If individuals can't resolve their issues outside the meet and continue to drain our resources, we will ban all parties involved with a view to being able to focus on making our events better for those who can.
  • On the extremely rare occasion we decide to ban someone based on behaviour external to the meet, it will be a group decision of the committee and this will never be “pressure lead”.
  • Harassment of our volunteers and staff will never be tolerated, we are all volunteers for our community.

Summary

By attending our events you are automatically stating your full and complete acceptance of these terms and conditions.

We hope that everyone attending our events has a good time and enjoys themselves! Feel free to approach a member of staff at any time during the event about any issues or queries you may have.

If someone's behaviour is upsetting or offending you, then please make this known to said person. If they do not cease and desist, make the issue known immediately to a member of AFTER DARK staff who will handle the matter. Please do this as soon as possible as it is difficult for us to deal with these complaints retroactively.
